The Great Lincoln National Bank Heist
The heist was the biggest in American
history at the time- but they always have the
biggest everything. Because they have always been "the scientifically
managed" financial institution.
In
September 1930 "bandits" robbed the Lincoln National Bank and Trust
Company in Nebraska of $2,800,000; the Lincoln National
Bank and Trust went into liquidation
as a consequence and deposits were taken over by
Continental National Bank formerly The
German American State Bank, which weathered the Depression like a rock.
In 1976, following two of the largest bank failures in U.S. history and the bankruptcy of the Pennsylvania Railroad, management of failed bank assets made the FDIC liquidation division the largest real estate investment trust in the nation. The FDIC database in Washington , DC maintains the information that Lincoln National Bank and Trust, Fort Wayne, Indiana, incorporated in 1905 ( merged into Norwest Bank, and then into Wells Fargo) and was formerly named Allen County National Bank.
However, neither Moody's Manuals nor the Fort Wayne newspapers of the day agree with this information. Lincoln National Bank and Trust was chartered as The German American National Bank in 1905 and was a United States depository. There was never an "Allen County National Bank," at least not in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.
The German American Bank, established 1910, the year Lincoln Trust Company was established, we are told is in B. Edward Ewing's home town, Jasper, Indiana.
Why does the FDIC, as it continues to pay out millions when banks fail, despite the "lessons of the 1980's," making itself more powerful with each receivership, associate the Fort Wayne Lincoln National Bank and Trust with an original bank which never existed in Fort Wayne? Unless the Allen County reference is to a bank in Allen County, Lima, Ohio, implying that Old National, Fort Wayne National, First National, and Lincoln National have always been one and the same with the German American Bank. That would have meant that one financial institution of what could be called the Indy Big (190)5 went into operation in Fort Wayne, spread out over a geographic range of two or three blocks at the time of The Armstrong Investigation.
The Central Company (see Railroads & Failed Banks) aka Northwest Bancorporation, incorporated fashionably before the stock market crash in 1929 with the purpose of acquiring the controlling interest of banks, various financial institutions, and trust companies, according to Moody's Manuals of Banking.
In order of disappearance, the $2,000,000 robbery in 1930 of the "once strong" Lincoln National Bank, Nebraska caused it to go into liquidation. Deposits were taken over by Continental National Bank, the former German American State Bank. "Continental" was a correspondent of an assortment of "Lincoln" banks nationwide.
In 1931 Good Prince Johann, the agricultural engineer/student of European banking, who married a Texas cattle baron's daughter and took up American business, taught American financial advisors the financial road to Liechtenstein ( Conduit 1) and the importance of agricultural mergers.
The George E. Sebring Company disappeared into Prudential and Mutual Benefit Life policies in Barnett Bank, Florida in 1931. In 1931 American Central Life was founded, though American Central Company was founded in St. Louis, MO before the Civil War.
Conduit 2 formed in 1936 when Cyril Duprey, who while in New York founded another United Mutual Life (after the first was merged with American Central into American United Life) left town and founded Colonial Fire Insurance in Trinidad.
United Mutual Life Insurance Company II was merged into MetLife 3/25/1993. In 1997, American United Life foreclosed on the 1985 "Tower Partnership" in arrears $2,000,000 on a mortgage on Fort Wayne's Lincoln Tower. In September 2001 it was discovered in Colorado that American United Life, to the chagrin of the Commissioner of Insurance and the Colorado Secretary of State, had ceased filing between 1936 and 2001.
"Kryder Realty" disappeared from the offices of Judge Helmke and "Lincoln Management" (309 Standard Building) in Fort Wayne in 1950. Likewise, "Kryder Insurance" and "Allen Finance Company" diasappeared from Clarence F. Kryder's offices in 202 Standard Building. Hoopingarner Construction Company, Inc. (C.F. Kryder incorporator and treasurer) disappeared from 225 Standard Building in 1967 where it was sharing the room with the bookkeeping department of the Anthony Wayne Bank, incorporated 1943. The Kryder Company, Inc. disappeared from 807 Fort Wayne Bank Building and dissolved 1/01/1970 along with countless Indiana corporations of all ages.
Shortly after, by mid- 1970, the Pennsylvania Railroad became the biggest bankruptcy in U.S. corporate history. Then still even more millions of the Pennsylvania railroad and the U.S. government were lost to Liechtenstein in 1971 in what was called a "financial scandal."
Now, the Allen County Bank and Trust Company of Leo, Indiana (where four generations of Kryders lie in Old Leo Cemetery and New Leo Cemetery, on Kryder land) was also founded in 1971, according to the FDIC, though the Indiana Secretary of State says incorporation was 4/21/1972. The institution failed in 1985. That name is one of the closest found to the FDIC's non-existent Allen County (Indiana) National Bank. The only other similar name is Allen Bank and Trust which incorporated along with Lincoln Tower Corp. in 1968, the latter as a one-bank holding company for Lincoln National Bank and Trust, the former German American National Bank of 1905, not to be confused with the German American Bank of 1910 which was incorporated the year of Lincoln Trust Co.
As a parting shot, the 1910 German
American Bank in Jasper became FDIC insured in 1955
when Lincoln Financial Corporation of Ardmore,
Oklahoma and The Central Trust
Company, Indiana was founded.
