Lincoln Life 1914-1915
"Over its entire territory the Lincoln Life made in 1914 a net gain of insurance in force of $10,400,000. This was a greater gain than was made by the other tweny-one Indiana companies all added together; also a greater gain than The Six Michigan companies all added together; also a greater gain than was made by Nine Ohio companies, the Union Central Excepted."
Looking back on the Kryder Century, one may certainly question whether or not many of the companies that were made to appear to be competitors were actually one and the same as the Lincoln Life, including the Union Central.
Robert G. Beams, father of Glen J. Beams, partner of Walter P. Helmke, was a Northern Indiana Lincoln Life agent before he went to work for The Kryder Company.
